Fulfilling Resolutions - Hope 2008 As people enter the New Year they are often full of hope about what the coming twelve months will hold. New Year’s resolutions are part and parcel of the season with people hoping to give something up or to develop new and better habits. This hunger for change and a new start provides an excellent opportunity for the Churches in Barnoldswick to serve our community. During 2008 the Churches of Barnoldswick will be working together with others to reach out and help people where they are. Among the suggested range of proposed activities will be an opportunity to tidy up areas of the town, leadership courses for the business community and money management courses for everyone. During the year there will be many opportunities for everyone to get involved in this national initiative and all the events will be publicized locally. Hope 2008 will be an excellent opportunity for all people of all denominations of the Christian faith to unite in regenerating and transforming our local community, making it a better place to both live and work. To launch HOPE 2008 in Barnoldswick anyone interested is invited to the Baptist Centre on Manchester Road on Sunday 13th January at 6pm when more information will be available.
